Mick Dooley

Birthday: February 16th, 1978

I was born in Thousand Oaks California, lived in Fort Wayne for all but 2 years of my life. Started singing with "the guys" in High School for a few occasions here and there, and have been the bass of OG since early 1999 when the founding bass of the group had an opportunity to serve the Lord elsewhere.

Currently I work at Ash Brokerage Corp. in Fort Wayne as an account and relationship manager.

Mick's Favorites:

Favorite OG Moment: There are so many!  Jason and Scott have some really great stories but most happened before I started with the group.  For me, my favorite OG moment was having a good friend from by business come tell that she was saved because our music rekindled her faith from when she was a child.
Most Embarrassing OG Moment:
Singing in a mall in South Carolina wearing all white tuxes during the Christmas shopping season.
Sports Team:
Kansas City Chiefs, Boston Red Sox
Food:
Fruity Pebbles, PB&J, and All Seafood
Artist/Group:
Acapella, Rockapella, Dave Mathews Band
Song: Mary Did You Know, and most of Acapella’s stuff.
Hobbies:
Golf, Movies
Verse:
Philippians 4:13
Place:
On couch in front of television
Movie:
My true answer would consist of speech broken down with graphs and lots of hand gestures but to cut it short…Caddyshack and A Few Good Men are among the best of the best
Book: Not a big reader…more of a movie go’er.
Reason Why I’m doing this:
What better way to repay a gift from God than to praise him with it.

Influences:
The biggest influence in my life has been my family. My Mom and Dad have given me nothing but support for the things that I wanted to do and achieve. My older brother Tim and my older sister Melanee were my early examples to a Christian life as well as my first exposure to singing and performing. Just as all younger siblings do…I wanted to emulate my big bro and sis.

Testimony:
I accepted Christ into my life as a young child not fully grasping the decision that I had made. Thru the years I’ve tried and continually try to strengthen my walk with Christ. One Generation continues to be an amazing experience for me. As it is with everyone else, I need to work at my relationship with Christ and strive to be closer to him. By being a part of One Generation, I get to see first hand how God works through song and harmony to touch those in need or struggle. I continue to learn everyday, especially with One Generation, how apparent God's presence really is.
